This is a good book! That is high praise from someone who doesn't read fiction. The lead character could be you or me... a real person... and well developed (as are the other characters). The story is engaging from the first page and the finish kept me up into the wee hours. Just could not put the book down. The story is straight forward but with twists I did not see coming. Entertaining and informative (fact-checked). Well written and with humor, too. My husband made me read the passages where I laughed out loud. I have recommended $KIP to my husband... this is a good man's book. Few books appeal to both sexes and there is plenty in the story for both. Enjoy!Product details

I read a lot of books, probably at least two a week. I enjoyed this as much as any I have read in the last two months. Clever plot. Realistic. Fast read. I enthusiastically recommend it.
Really enjoyed this book! Fast paced with great characters. Couldn't put it down. The tie in to the banking industry and the Charlotte area was fascinating. Highly recommended.
If you are a businessman and like suspense, murder, intrigue and a lot of plot twists, check this book out. It is a fun read with a couple of great scum bags and some even better characters. The setting is a typical bank environment with people that you work with all around. Interesting things happen and the story takes off. The action doesn't stop until the story ends (and there is a little meat left for a possible sequel(???)).
If you liked Michael Crichton's book, Disclosure, you will like this one. I highly recommend it.
I started reading this book because it was a selection for my book club. I continued reading because I couldn't put it down. My husband started reading and he set a new record in how fast he read it. We loved it. We never lost interest and looked ahead to see how it would end. We both agreed it was a treat to find a new author who could make a story flow so well. Very interesting and a believable story.
This may sound chauvinistic but this book is to men what chick lit is to women. Read it and I think you'll agree, less I say more.
My first mystery/suspense book that used the intricacies of banking as the background. Very interesting and an easy read.
To start off, this is a wonderful book and a great read!!! The characters are interesting and full of life. I loved the descriptions of being on Lake Norman and in the Charlotte area. The story line was great and having the corporate world mixed with the real world was fantastic. From the moment I opened the book until the last word, I was hooked. I can not wait to see what more Stan Meihaus has up his sleeve!!! I am in for whatever he writes in the future!!!!
